Don Knotts and Bob Denver are featured in this 1970s commercial. I totally loved Bonanza. Especially the giant block of cheese that you could shave off slices from. Sigh...

]]>Way, way, way back in 1990, the NRDC put out this public service announcement featuring Tom Cruise, Whoopie Goldberg, Demi Moore, Billy Crystal and Warren Beatty discussing the effects of pollution and global warming. Now that the rest of the world is beginning to catch on to the issues we face as a planet, it's nice to know those celebs we all look up to really are ahead of the curve. (At least on this one thing.) Anyways... nothing you don't know here... just scary it's almost 20 years old.
It cracks me up that Kathie Lee Gifford has been called upon to sing for her supper hocking everything from high dollar cruise vacations to household cleaning products. In this 1980s Lysol spot, she shows off her singing chops while extolling the virtues of foaming cleansers. All that time on Name that Tune really paid off, eh Kathie?
